We may not be Team Dusty for much longer...

Directly after class 1, Team Dusty went on to refine our idea. The 4x4 and mountain bike concepts were axed quickly because they would require humans to operate them fairly close up.

We then began deliberating on which of the remaining ideas we wanted to pursue. Here's our thought process:

Crop Duster:

We liked this idea since a plane hasn't been done in prior classes. We we're also thinking of producing this idea with Unreal Engine as our main renderer. With the introduction of Volume Sparse Textures in 5.3, we could render our mist trails with more realism than possible before. A concern we had was hero vegetation interaction.

Amtrak: 

We discussed this idea a lot! We refined this idea through a lot of collaboration. Since I'm focusing on FX, I was concerned with the elements that the FX team is producing. After further refinement, we're thinking of creating three different elements. If we move forward with this idea, Tempest would create the rain element, and I would be creating a snow flurry element. If we have enough time, I'll also create a vegetation blooming setup.
